Speaking as having been one and constantly being surrounded by and interacting with them on a daily basis, I can honestly say that no child, tween, or teenager is an adult - no matter what their age.

Yes, I mean not all teenagers dress too old for their age. But now a days people are shopping and buying clothing that doesn't fit them, show their boobs, have holes around their butt, and just wear things to short. I mean i have friends that are 12 and they looks like she 16 or 17 and the only reason why they look that old is because of the way they dress. Personally, i have no problem if a girl wants to look pretty, but it's better when your looking pretty and not being a slut. I mean I have more guys after me then my friends do that dress like hoes so, i don't think that guys like it all the time. After a while you'd think they'd get tired of everyone looking the same. I just think that this Generation's teens should start dressing more apporpriatly. And i can say this because i am a teenager and i have a problem with the way people dress these days. We just need to wake up and realize that we all look a like and it's better just to have your own style and one that fits you.

Not every teen dresses to maturely for their age. It depends on the parent, and what is being sold in stores. If mature clothing is being sold at highly advertised, or popular stores, then there isn't much of a choice to what you can buy. At my school, there aren't many people who dress too maturely. No one at school ( or mine at least) thinks too showy is cute at all. Parents should pay attention to what their child wears. Parents shouldn't be too strict, but reasonable. Everywhere you go there's advertisements that don't in any way pertain to women, but still have a woman with a perfect body, face, endowments and everything that is considered 'hot', 'in', or 'sexy'. Being bombarded advertisements like these, of course there are teens/ tweens that feel a need to wear makeup, and dress older than they really are.

I think we should be able to express our own style, but when it comes to younger children some parents need their butts kicked for letting young girls wear someof the things I have seen!! I'm 25 and have 2 kids. I would never let my daughter out of the house half naked in a shirt that says,, SEXY or whatever all those shirts say.. Thats just gross... Shes only 7 now, but I have seen girls her age wearing crap like that and it makes me sick! They look like little adults and that is not what they are!!!!

No, not really. Fashion changes with the coming generations, and now people want to look older so that's how things are for this generation. I agree that some people may dress provocatively but if too old is like, purses, then no, I don't think so.

Teens can wear whatever they want, as that is an appropriate age to experiment with dress, hairdos, etc.etc. But it really sucks to see little girls of five and six dressed like movie stars. They aren't allowed to be kids any more. And that is a real shame.

nope, i think each one has their own style...but what parent is going to stop their teen from dressing like an adult? none...if you mean too revealing that's a different story.

young women and girls are being sexualised by the popular media at a younger and younger age.
things like babrbie toys,
