I used to take kava-kava by was advised to stop by doctor after I started this insane crazy uncontrollable shaking. It did a bit of damage to my liver, but have it restored to normal at present time.
Below is a couple of websites to let you look up herbs, vitamins, prescription drugs and OTC drugs for warnings & recalls.

Yes. The only thing to watch for with Wellbutrin would be melatonin and St Johns Wort. Kava is fine to take at the normal recommended doses.

Wellbutrin is NOT a SSRI like paxil so it is not necessary to avoid herbs like St. John's Wort or 5-htp or melatonin or kava-kava. Any pharmacist should have a book with all that info in it...
Please note that any of the herbs or products I mentioned above do in fact make enough of a difference that they must NOT be taken with any SSRI as the may well lead to a serotonin overload...to think because something is natural it is safe or does little to nothing is absurd...arsenic is ALL natural and believe me it WILL kill you(as one example)

Kava Kava is more of an herbal supplement, so I don't see how it could effect the perscribed drug. I could be wrong, but I don't think it would hurt.

Call your local poison control to ask any questions about possible drug interactions, including OTC drugs. It is a free call, and they have an interactions database.
