Why do black men make up 80% of the prison population in America ?

Blacks people make up 20% of the population in AMerica and 80% of the prison population. I was wondering why seeing that we have just as many black judges and cops as white. We have law enforcement of all races and it just can not be a raciest thing.

Simple. The Democratic Party---and it is a socio-economical fact.
They wish to keep minorities uneducated, bitter, and thus confused to their true enemy---Entitlement Programs.
Generation after generation fall prey to the lie that 'conservatives"
keep them from social advancement, and they see little hope and turn to slinging or other acts that get people locked up.
Truth is, Conservatives want ALL AMERICANS to do well as this only enriches the country.
Liberals offer the "victim-race card", while conservatives say; "Don't believe the lie of the left, You can succeed---WE WANT YOU TO DO WELL".

Well alot of black officers and judges are what some people call "uncle toms" meaning they are black but are racist against there own color.But that's not why black men are in prison.I think most of them are in prison for things that they did when they were younger.Not having a a father around or having a mother as a crack head.Many had to struggle to get meals and the only way that they could afford something to eat was by stealing which lead to imprisonment.So your right it's not all about racism..it's more about the habitat and culture.If you think about it.Alot of the "anger" and frustration leads back to slavery and if you had parents or grandparents who went through bondage and cruel and unusual punishment then you would understand how a man can be raised with so much hate in his heart.Because he doesn't understand why this man is being treated better than him and why he cant afford to wear nice things...and if only people really knew what it is like to grow up being black! It's not easy and will never be.People still don't wanna understand.

Your professor is obviously a whack pastime. The police do no longer unfairly "objective anybody". Its no longer the fault of the police that blacks dedicate the vast majority of armed robberies, shootings, and murders interior the city. In 1988 there have been very almost 500 murders committed in DC. each and every person who became arrested became black or the define of the guy who have been given away became of a black person. Ask your professor the following day if the police could objective white adult males after a taking photos the place the witnessed defined a black guy with a gun.

A very bad shortage of positive male models. Think about it. Who do kids have to look up to? the drug dealers? the pimps? How many single mothers do you know? and it not just the blacks, It all races. When men have 6 kids by 4 women and not take care of any of them, who is teaching these kids right from wrong?

I thought the percentage of Black in the USA was 13%.

The reason is, more black men percentage-wise commit crimes and are convicted.

Does anyone know the percentage of white men arrested, but NOT convicted as opposed to the percentage of black men arrested but NOT convicted. That might give a bit better estimate of how many convictions are actually deserved.

Some would like to blame every conviction of anyone of their own race as racist; but WHO IS COMMITTING ALL THE CRIME? The Easter bunny??

Statistics show that in the United States, Blacks are much more likely than Whites to be convicted of violent crime who are in turn more likely to be convicted of violent crime than Asians are. Statistics and factual evidence have also shown that in the United States, a black person is much more likely to be arrested for a particular crime than a white person is for the exact same crime. This is due to malpractices such as racial profiling.

Black people make up no where near 80%. Where did you get your facts. Black people make up 13.5 percent of the American population and about 12 percent of the prison population.

Lack of structure in neighborhoods need night watchmen from dawn to dusk monitoring their activity to dampen down their violence people to take down license plates provide reminders remove weapons to a minimum because of their blatant use of weapons in crime. Its not a poor statistic because NFL black players basketball football waste their monies because of their inability to assimilate well articulate strategies etc. What nature gives in one area it takes away in another seems to be the case here.

I don't they make up 80%...but certainly a lot more than any other race. Its probably a combination of things that causes this:

-blacks on average poorer than whites and asians and about the same as hispanics. The better off an individual is financially the less likely they are to commit a crime
-"black culture" glorifies illegal behavior. Watch some blaxploitation films and listen to rap music. Nearly all of it encourages drugs and violence. Also black culture has a tendency to blame others for their problems instead of facing them themselves. You see groups like the NAACP blaming everything on racism and making excuses for black people having bad behavior
-2 out of 3 black children are born out of wedlock. Meaning that most of them live in 1 parent households. So they usually receive less supervision and get into more trouble. As they get older the toruble they get into becomes more serious things like rape and murder.
-Africa has a history of tribal warfare. Over there they are constantly fighting each other and most of the time don't know why. They have done it for thousands of years and have been conditioned to, so thats what they do. It has carried over to the United States in the form of street gangs (crips and bloods) as well as general thuggery.
-Finally, It could have something to do with genetics. Black men make up a very large percentage of professional athletes and are more likely than other races to acquire many diseases. Arguably, this is because of genetics. So if thats true its possible that blacks are genetically more aggressive and thus more likely to commit a crime.

Black men commit more crime. The left keeps them believing they have nothing to lose even after 35 years of buying their loyalty with Affirmative Action perks. Go figure.
