I've spent the past 6 years of my life trying to figure out what I want to do with it. I have finally come up with something, I want to be a Paranormal investigator. Im aware of how pointless some think its going to be but Im not asking how usefull you think it is.

I'd like to know if anyone knows of a college that has a good paranormal study class? Preferablly in the Central time zone.

Thanks.

I don't know of any colleges that offer this, and I would be surprised if any did. However, there are hundreds upon hundreds of small metaphysical schools around the country that you can contact for advice, or even their own class information.

If you want to be a paranormal investigator, I suggest you try to contact Joe Nickell (with the Commitee for Scientific Investigations for Claims of the Paranormal) for info - he's the top one around. He's also a very nice guy.

They don't teach paranormal stuff as majors in colleges; the best you could do is major in science or philosophy and take related classes, but even those aren't offered at many colleges. You probably already know to avoid the 'metaphysical' colleges if you want a real education.

Try to contact Joe Nickell for info, and good luck. www.joenickell.com

Zoology or marine biology are what you probably realistically want to look for. If you want to discover and witness new and exotic creatures, these would be the fields of study to get you there. Also, if you are interested in creatures from the past, such as dinosaurs, or giant sloths, you might be interested in paleontology. These are things you could find a college offering accredited degrees in. lots of people believe in ghosts, and aliens, however, given a complete lack of any evidence supporting their existence, there really is nothing to study.

Cryptozoology studies the possibility of supernatural beings and would probably be a good choice. That's what I would like to do.
