A Democrat can marry a Republican anytime. Just keep POLITICS out of the bedroom so as not to contribute for an early divorce! LOL

Look at the govener of the state of California Arnold.
His wife is part of the Kennedy family...and a democrat.
The United States is a place where we have freedom of choice and no reason anyone needs to marry someone of the same party

What's wrong with that? Should make for an interesting marriage and the kids will grow up seeing both sides to issues. I think it's a great idea.

I would not marry a republican if I was a democrat or vice verses.
My wife and I are different, and she just switched over to democrat, and she thinks that I have switched but she is wrong.
I tell her I voted democratic ticket just to shut her up. Do you think that I will tell her that I voted differently than her, because she will not talk to me for a month. She takes politics seriously, where I do not believe in any of them.

Not only should they, but.....
All Democratic Congressmen should be required to marry a Republican and vice versa. Perhaps our Congressmen would start to appreciate each others point of view, if they had to live with the opposing point of view.
I don't know what we would do with the Congressmen who just would not make good spouses, though....oh wait, the Congressman from Florida resigned, didn't he...

I don't see why not.. My husband is a democrat, and I am a republican, we are both really head strong about our political views, so my best advice is don't discuss politics with your future spouse. My husband and I use to get into it really heavy over our political views, so I have learned from this, DO NOT DISCUSS POLITICS.

are you really going to let a political party change your relationship? Thats nonsense. My finacee wasn't registered to vote until after we started dating. He is about as Democrat as they come. Yet, he choose Republican to make me mad. Don't worry about it.
