My landlord won't fix anything in my apartment the hot water in my bathroom where I take a shower won't turn off and since everytime I take a shower I end up with fiberglass or something in my hair I've changed shampoo's even bought new towels please help!! Now my 7 year old daughter is getting the same I don't know what to do .....

it could quit possibly be lime and or calcium build up, you can fix this by flushing your hot water heater, as for your slumlord report him to better housing board in your area(also known as renters rights) the'll tell him to fix it or pay a healthy fine!

Hot Water heaters do get build up on the insides like calcium and lime deposits that will come lose and come through the pipes. You may have to take him to court to get him to do something.

Could be mineral deposits, rust, or the epoxy glass liner inside the water heater. I would either move, or find a renters rights organization to help, or maybe a lawyer.

I don't know what state you live in but in up-state N.Y.we have a department affiliated with social services ( renters rights )You should contact them and keep track of when you contacted your landlord but do it in writing and make copies to save as prof. you might be able to hold back rent until the repairs are made.

The calcium rod that is inside of your water heater is deteriorating... you need a new water heater...

maybe part of his filtration system is getting in pipes.... move!
