1. To establish a stable democratic government in Iraq, which can defend itself and that both supports America in the region. as well as in the war on terror. and also respects individual freedom and rights.
2. Create a democratic model in the middle east in the hopes that democracy will spread to the region, replacing dictators and theocracies with free, prosperous, democratic regimes which will in turn end (or at least tamp down) the poverty, despotism, misinformation, and religious indoctrination that is at the root of terrorism and anti-Americanism that predominates the region
3. Also to have a place where jihadist can go and fight America. a "cause celeb" or a "terror magnet" as many democrats boast as a bad thing. it has been reported (1*) by Al-Qaeda in Iraq's leader that more than 4,000 Al-Qaeda militants have been killed in Iraq. (which military officials believe is a low estimate) still, it only took 17 terrorist to pull off 9-11. I believe the benefit their is self evident
4. To create an American presence in the region to counter balance, and apply pressure to Iran. and provide a launching pad for military force if diplomatic efforts fall apart.
5. prove to the world that
1. America is not a "paper tiger" as once believed by many of
our enemies
2. America will not run in the face of a long hard war
3. America will act unilaterally and or preemptively if we feel it is
necessary

also we have to consider the negative effects of early withdrawal. such as; Iran dominating the region and Iraq with it's oil revenues, which will allow it it to fund even more terrorist organizations. and have greater influence in the world oil market. Iraq becoming a terrorist state which gives terrorist safe haven to plot and kill Americans, as Afghanistan was under the Taliban. America having been defeated will lose respect and credibility in the world. this will limit our ability to convince allies that we can and will fulfill our obligations both present and especially future. (2*) Osama Bin Laden has declared that the “third world war…is raging” in Iraq, and it will end there, in “either victory and glory, or misery and humiliation.”

Iraq has a fledgling democracy and it needs to be nurtured and protected. That doesn't mean that it can't operate on it's own, but it needs time to gain a stronger foothold. With so many other negative influences in the region, it would simply fall if left to it's own devices so soon. We would find ourselves in the same situation a few years down the road if we cut and run now. The Islamo-fascists are counting on that so they can have the necessary time to recoup.

Timelines are stable in some strategies undesirable in others, I do have self assurance we've been in iraq for too long although i think of by using doing away with Saddam replaced right into a nasty thought confident he replaced right into a nasty guy & killed his human beings although he stored Iraq from being invaded by using terrorists and different extremists, he made it reliable. i've got self assurance Iran replaced right into a miles better possibility we could desire to constantly of taken care of them first. no remember if we live or pass there will be a conflict of a few sort. Iran constantly had to be a superpower in the middle east, they do no longer choose a democracy in Iraq. they % to babysit the middle east although that could desire to reason extra bloodshed considering that they are bargaining with terrorists. i've got not got self assurance the middle east will ever be a reliable region there'll constantly be bloodshed & terrorism there.

Can I have a ride in your car? I'll email you. I really like your pic on your 360 also. Oh... the U.S. just needs a foothold in that region. We'll come up with the rest later.

Saving the "terrorist" $$$...

they can kill Americans over there instead of having to fly all the way over here...

Since 9-11, plane fare is so expensive now-a-days

That... and letting all the other countries in the neighborhood know that the Saudi's can buy anything... even us... yeah... we're their b*tch...
