Short for Web browser, a software application used to locate and display Web pages. The two most popular browsers are Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Both of these are graphical browsers, which means that they can display graphics as well as text. In addition, most modern browsers can present multimedia information, including sound and video, though they require plug-ins for some formats.

A 'browser' is any program dedicated to viewing online text, pictures, movies, and other multimedia. Some of the most common internet browsers include Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and Maxthon.

To answer the "copy and paste the......."
Sometimes, you do not even need to 'copy and paste'.... Just click the link (the URL), and watch as you are redirected towards the URL.
If you NEED to copy and paste, or the link doesn't work, just follow these instructions:
>highlight the URL (you know how to do this, right?)
>right-click the highlighted text, and select 'copy' from the menu
>move your mouse pointer to the address bar of your internet
browser (you know what that is now, right?)
>right-click the address bar, ans select 'paste' from the menu
>press 'enter' on your keyboard, or click the 'go' button
I hope this helped
GOOD LUCK!

Basically a browser is anything that cn render webpage from a server.
Examples of browsers
Internet explorer
firefox
opera
AN URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator, aka a web address. Usually begins with www(but not always) and ends in .com .net .biz or any of a large amount of 3 letter endings.
Basically they gave you there URL, for example http://www.yahoo.com and they expect you to type that into your browser and go there.
