Why don't we just get busy taking care of ourselves and live up to the moral standards and philosophies we have set for ourselves and our children - we have no business telling "our neighbour" what to do or how to live his life, wht he eats, what she dresses and what he does in his bedroom?

Is this right to think like this?

Is it right to think everyone should be left alone to live the way they choose.......

Well, it depends.

If you're including leaving their paychecks alone, and not taking their money to make sure people have the money to live the way they choose, yes. That's Libertarian and is rational.

If you want to tax people to death to pay for other people to live the way they want to, that's just plain old Liberalism, and is a form of mental defect.

YES. Myself, I can't believe how many Puritans work for child protective (in recent cases I know parents who called to protect their child from abuse and were told..."you know, with this housekeeping, we should take away your kids now"). Plus in two instances I was personally involved with in prosecuting molesters, they recruited pastors to try to smooth things out for them. (P.S. I AM a pastor, truly ordained, and preach in a mainline church. I share this questioner's opinion on this!)
