The wording on this question is a little confusing, but I think it is essentially asking about the difference between RMS and peak. The difference is a factor of Sqrt(2), which is about 1.4142.

Assuming that this is the question here are my answers:

If a circuit is rated for 240V RMS the peak is 240*Sqrt(2), which is about 339.4 V

If a circuit has a peak current of 2 amps then the RMS current is 2/sqrt(2), which is sqrt(2) or about 1.4142 amps.

Speakers often list both numbers. The reason is that if the RMS power exceeds the limit on the speaker you will melt the wire insulation and ruin your speaker, if you exceed the peak power listed, you will exceed the travel limit on the speaker cone and possibly damage it.

QUestion seems to be not correct. U gave Voltage and Amperage ans asking again. If the appliance is rated 2 amps, it draws 2 amps under maaxm load and less at low loads, depends on load factor. U acn calculate power consumed using formula P=VI.

you are able to tournament the form and style of breaker that suits your panel. As already pronounced by ability of others, a GE panel won't take a sq. D circuit breaker, and vice-versa. the style you like is (or could be) indexed on the interior the door of the panel. As for the UL authorized remark, that's authentic, even with the undeniable fact that, any style of "formally" authorized score does no longer recommend that that's as sturdy as or greater advantageous than yet another formally authorized merchandise. purely inspect the simple easy change. you will get one for in all probability ninety 9¢ or perhaps much less, however the single that fee $5 is going to be plenty diverse, and lots greater advantageous high quality. You DO get what you pay for in maximum circumstances. that's to no longer say fee is the only high quality indicator, yet *on wide-unfold*, that's exceptionally sturdy. you are able to of direction additionally pass nuts in the different direction besides and pay greater for ineffective issues that make some thing look greater advantageous ascetically, yet have no touching on high quality. If 240 is the RMS voltage (root-mean-square), then the peak voltage is 240/0.707 and the peak-to-peak voltage would be twice that. If the peak current is 2 amps, the effective current is
2 x 0.637 amps.
