I believe that a women has the right to decide to have a baby or not. Some think it is murder and others say it is not. In the case of rape and such, abortion might be their only choice?

Most of my family is pro-life. I do not believe in murder. In the case of rape and forced family rape, there is the morning after pill. What I am against is people using abortion as a means of birth control. But I would also like to point out to everyone, judge not for it is meant that ye shall be judged by the same merrit that ye judges. It is not between me you and the women who has the abortion, it is between her and god alone. Who amongst you can through the first stone???

Ok, I am going to extend the question. No one has brought this up so I will. I want to know about the father? No he does not give birth to the child, nor does he have morning sickness, or even go through nine months with the child. But, if he loves his child, he is the father of the child, should the father not have some say in rather his child is to be killed/ aborted? I do not believe anyone should be able to tell a women what she can do with her body, but if this child is in the second or third month, I believe any women can abort up to three months, and up to nine out of the country. If the man, the father, wants the child, loves the child, and has the means to care for the child, should he not have a say in rather his child is killed or not. Look at my point, there is the morning after pill, or withing the first three weeks, but after a couple months after the baby is starting to bond? I am pro choice because I do not believe in more government in our lives

Please understand, I am one of the most passive people on Yahoo Answers, but if I found out a women was with child, and the child was mine, I would do everything within my power to save my childs life. I in no way want to take any rights from women, god knows that too many unfair things happen in the work place and in the world for that matter to women as it is. But my extended question is this. What about the father, should he not have a say in a child that is his being aborted or not. Does the father not have any right?

I'm pro life their is no excuse to kill a baby ,weather it be rape or anything else you can think of .abortion is just a cop out .if you don't want a kid you should be on birth control, then if you get raped you still wont get pregnant and there's always the morning after pill and adoption . the only time it could possibly be acceptable is for medical reasons ,like it's not going to live, your not going to live or something similar

this isnt a yes or no question its an or question - in the event of rape or a woman that has had her tubes tied - then yes i understand - i hate it but i understand -

in the event that a woman is haveing sex not useing condoms or birthcontrol hell no !!! that is murder - your gonna kill someone because your dumb *** couldnt pop a pill or make a man put on a condom? if you have an abortion for reasons like these you should be forced to have your tubes tied -

it surprises me some of these answers - what about that mans child inside of you? should he have a right? he helped you make that baby - i dont care if it is an embryo - thats life if it wasnt it wouldnt be a big deal - dont tell me it cant feel- cuz an embryo never told you that -

While I am to old to have to worry about it, I always prayed I would never have to be put in that position, While the thought of someone getting an abortion does not make me happy, it makes me sad actually, but what also makes me sad are unwanted, undesired, unwelcome babies born to mothers who should not be mothers, It is a very very tough position and I for one don’t think I have that right to make that decision for someone else, if this makes sense. Am I pro Abortion, NO, am I Pro Life, YES, ....Should I FORCE my will on woman being a man myself, NO!!! There for I can not choose for them, they have to choose, that’s where Pro Choice comes in

There's always a choice... to leave your legs closed, or use protection. In the case of rape and such, ther is emergency contraception available that can keep a zygote from implanting in the first place.

Pro Choice......if I was raped.....raped by a family member....if the baby was so deformed inside of me......if the woman is mentally handicapped and was raped.

I would not use abortion as a means of birth control.

i agree on that. i just dont like the fact that some girls have an abortion from their own stupid actions. if it is rape or something like that that is different. there is no excuse to get an abortion if u were just having a "little" fun in the first place.

Pro choice. I hear the pro lifers that say that if you don't want a baby, then be careful or don't have sex or whatever reasons that they may give. But when all of that has passed and the woman has gotten pregnant and decides to keep their baby and goes on welfare, you have something to say about that. You can't have it both ways.

Prochoice. If it wasn't for prochoice, I'd be a 33 year old mother of a 15 year old right now. Things happen and we need to have services available. Nobody tells you to have an abortion, so why should people think they can tell you to have a child? And guess wht...I'm married for 12 years with 2 kids and if I got pregnant right now, I'd have an abortion tomorrow. It's not anyone's choice, but mine!
