A team of scientists claim to have proof that people are pre-disposed to crime based on a combination of genetic factors that cause a violent reaction in these individuals when they are triggered by outside factors. The machine will expose abnormalties, such as slow brain wave activity, with 75% accuracy so that we will be able to identify 75% of the people likely to commit a violent act in their lifetime.

Scared.

I am concerned that the machine would be used for eugenics ('weeding out' "undesirable" genes by abortion or genetic engineering); or at any rate for typecasting (shoving people into categories based on their genetic profile) and/or controlling or at best manipulating people perceived as 'at risk' as they grow up or afterwards.
