Who likes Greenday's old music?

Question

I love it my favorite song(s) are Welcome To Paradise, Pulling Teeth, Minority, Basketcase, Good Riddance, Maisy's Day Parade, 80 million lightyears away, and lots off of Nimrod.

Their new stuff is okay, but now I think they're more worried about how they look, but I know where they're coming from. American Idiot is based on the president and his b.s. (the album American Idiot)

Their older stuff is more light-hearted, and is more of the alternative rock, and thats why I love their music, because it's-well it WAS alternative now it's pop/Punk but you gotta love 'em for writing an album about something worth saying.You gotta love 'em period.

Dookie reminds me off good times too, especailly pulling teeth. I like their new stuff, but LOVE their old stuff :) thank you for being negative :)

I think that there are ups and downs to both, there old stuff is like i dont give a crap and the songs are about being bored and like jackin off. The new stuff is a little bit more civilized and I think the songs are more in order, and cleaner. I think Nimrod, dookie, and 1,039/hours are my favorite albums. But u cant beat the concerts where they will bring people up on stage to play knowledge or when billie joe jumped into the crowd because he saw a fan pickin on another fan. They just have that awesome sound that ur addicted too. The only thing I can say i dont like about their new stuff is the fact that like 8 year old girls are going around bein like yea i love green day rock on dude. That just kinda bugs me. and anyway isnt it like 2000 light years away? (ur only like 79 mil. off)

I am only eleven years old and I have been to six of GREEN DAYS concerts .I love those guys . I heard my first song of GREEN DAY when it was 1996 I was 1 year old .I love both old and new music of GREEN DAY.I have all of GREEN DAYS cds (39/smooth,kerplunk,shenanigens,dookie,nimrod,international superhits,american idiot,and bullet in a bible) bye

I LOVE IT!!!! I still have the Dookie C.D. and have songs from the same album on my IPod it reminds me of high school days. I liked all the songs.

I agree...partially. I do think all they do now is put out their stupid views about the president.
I honestly couldn't care less what they thought about him.
Basketcase. Best ever.
I do like Green Day's earlier songs. Maybe even better than their new stuff.

Green Day rocks.. my 11 yr old daughter loves them too. unfortunately alot of bands, going WAY back to 60's even, usually dont' do so well when they are trying to "talk politics" with their music.. very few have succeeded, most have failed!

Their old stuff is soo much better...back then they were the only ones around! Now everyone wants to be them and they sort of sound like everyone one else. Old or new...no matter who you are...Greenday will own you.

sounds like my stepdad, i think of it is so cool he listens to the comparable song as my pals do. No thats staggering! no longer something incorrect with that for the duration of any respect I guess greater little ones choose their dad replaced into like that! sounds like your a great dad.
