it's october and my lawn weeds have grown into little flowers, possibly carrying a lot of bad seed. these weeds are grown next to my grass. i want to remove them, but i risk contaminating my lawn with the weed seed. any suggestions? if i use roundup, i risk damaging my lawn.
help.

*Weed and Feed*, it works great, you use a "grass seed" spreader and in a couple of weeks the weeds are gone.

How would weed and feed contaminate your lawn? Now is the time to get to your lawn with weed and feed. There's a pre-emergent and there is a post-emergent. Pre-emergent is for the weeds that are not above the ground and post is for the weeds that are above. All you have to do is read the bag. There are certain bags that will tell you what to use and when to use it. Round Up will kill your lawn so don't use that. Pulling weeds just spreads the seeds.

there are many selective herbicides available to spray on lawns. They will only affect the weeds and not harm the turf.

weed and feed wont contaminate your yard . and its a good way of getting rid of the wayward weeds.

The only sure way is to pull them out individually by the root. This can be rather time consuming, that's what Nephews, Nieces, Children, and nieghborhood children are for...
They'll do it for a few bucks gladly.
