The joke years ago was how women weren't happy and so they repainted the house different colors every few months, moved around the furniture, had another baby, got an animal(due to being emotional, which this also makes them great, good mothers,...)...
Now it's "I'm getting a divorce" or "having an affair". He doesn't hit you, verbally abuse you, or cheat buy you're unhappy...
Don't get me wrong... guys have always had their problems(but not all of them), but instead working towards the better, it seems to be moving to the worst.

As long as we are focused on our needs and not the people around us and that are in our lives....divorce is inevitable.

Erin - sounds like you and I have the same EX !!!

I am going to encourage both of my children to live with the person before marrying them. Had I done so, I know I would not have gotten married. What a wake up call that was. I am sure our Catholic Priest would object but they are not going to consider me partof the church once the divorce is final anyhow (if it ever is).

Its 2006, times are changing.

I personally feel ill about the way women are treated these days. We are entering a new phase where it is ok to go out and work and yet be expected to cook, clean, make love, make babies, and make a happy home. I worked my *** off for 10 flippin years. When I wanted to stay home with the baby, I couldn't because he said, "we couldn't afford it". When he worked, he got to drink beer or go to the bar. I was the lucky one to get the girls bathed, read stories, do the laundry, make dinner and get to have sex whoo hooo. Lucky me. Those women had the luxury of staying home to care for the house and children. Their responsibilities were limited. I would have loved to stay home and rearrange the furniture or paint the house. I told him the other night that I felt like he didn't respect me. 2 minutes later, he said he felt like he was disrespected.. WTF? That man golfed every freakin weekend, got to drink whenever he wanted and I disrespected him? **ck that. Dont' get me started...ugh
