If the batter or one of the runners is hurt while running on a home run, a pinch runner is permitted to finish running. It actually happened to Gabe Kapler of the Red Sox. Click on "kapler injured" on the Sept 14 tab on the link below.

Well it doesn't matter because once the ball is out of the ball park, then it's automaticaly all base runners come home. Now if the guy cannot run, well there might be like a sub taking his place and finish the run.

the team is allowed to bring in a pinch runner to finish running the bases or the player could just walk around all of the bases very slowly.
