Who is opposed? How would anyone know if they took a moment? Unless they told someone. I pray all the time but I don't tell others around me that I am praying to God. I also don't try to tell others in state funded schools who they should pray to and when. Do you have any idea why we left England and came to America?

Hey watch it your a liberal. LOL Some teachers would like to have a moment of silence and I know bus drivers would. another LOL, Nothing is wrong with a moment of silence, what is wrong that most Christians do not like is there should be no organized religion practiced in the public schools. Tax payers pay for these schools and the taxpayers have a lot of different kinds of religion or none at all. It isn't really fair for the Jewish kid to force them to celebrate the birth of Jesus, etc. and his parents are tax payers and contribute to the school also.

I dont see anything wrong with it. And why do we have freedom of religion and they dont allow the kids to have a prayer in school? This country is falling apart with all this accomodating everyonelses grievances, no matter how retarded they are. Who usually has to pay the price for all these bills and laws that are being passed for others?

I don't know. I'm a secular, agnostic, libertarian, but I don't really see anything that wrong with it.

(Well, other than my general opposition to government schools).

Because you say "moment of silence" and everyone knows very well you mean "prayer", which is for home and church, not school.
