Collision domain:

If two or more devices try to access the network at the exact same time, a collision will occur. A collision domain is typically confined to a subnet. In a switched Ethernet environment, each transmitting-receiving pair of nodes is essentially its own collision domain, except that no collisions can occur, because there is no sharing of bandwidth.

Broad cast domain:

A broadcast domain is a logical network segment in which any computer connected to the network can directly transmit to any other in the domain without having to go through a routing device, providing they share the same subnet and gateway address and are in the same VLAN
