i'd go with ps3 but if you don't have that much money go with what you can afford

No contest, playstation 3. Then maybe a wii if nintendo decides to not release zelda for GC, The playstation 3 may not do well at launch but it is certified future proof. Since wii isnt a powerhouse like ps3 or xbox360 its just a notch above gamecube. xbox360 was so rushed it still only has a dvd player and you have to buy an addon to make it future level. xbox360 ends up costing as much as a ps3 with the HDDVD addon that comes out when ps3 does. @ lonewolf, you must not keep up to date. It plays all formats you just have to buy an adapter for your ps1/2 memory cards, it has an nvidia graphics card inside and not sony's proprietary video, it has HDMI+bluray for HD movies as well as games, plus a couple other things....

I'll be getting the Wii when it comes out, maybe get a PS3 next year when the price hopefully comes down, along with the new Grand Theft Auto & Final Fantasy next year...but the Wii will be so awesome and i'm much more excited about this console...I just hope they get more 3rd party support than the GC! (Which clearly looks like they will)

Wii first, then 360 a little later. Maybe a PS3 if the price comes down.

PS3...Graphic quality is much better than XBOX 360, and Nintendo isn't considered a good gaming product.

Most definitly will be the PS3, it is basically a computer. 60 GB hardrive, blue-ray disc compatability, high definition, USB, plus sony has made great franchise games.

NOT the ps3 the dang things a hox that can't play previous ps games, the controllers were stupid, the only thing NEW about the dang thing is that the box has a new look. grrr.
