If the church doesn't have or won't let you do your fair on their insurance policy than you need to get a liability policy. You can get a one-time event policy (for that weekend) or you can get a policy that's good for a year that you can use for other fairs, events... under your business or organization name. This will allow you/your event to be covered no matter where you are or have them. You will want to find out what coverage requirements the Church wants you to meet. If they don't have any, you should have at least $250k per for accident claim... Your policy might also cover property/theft for your vendors. You can put part or all of the cost of the insurance into the booth/vendor fees to help devry this aspect of your overhead. A good reputable company with extremely competitive prices is GCC (G.C. Companies) Insurance. They can go over the different scenarios with you. I've used them and recommended them to several local artists, organizations and small community businesses. Any company can provide you with liability insurance but not many can provide the level of service at the rates GCC can. Call Rob McClendon @ 512-837-5770. Hope this helps. Good luck.

The word Liable should be a clue.
Certainly Liability insurance would be your first place to begin,,,if you can even get it.
Consider that the liability includes damage possibly incurred to church property and grounds,,,then to everyone who might visit the fair, or vend at the fair,,, Sounds like a Daunting issue to me.
An insurance company might suggest limits, but How much Is Enough???
Example: I visit the craft fair and become injured, by YOUR setup, or one of your vendors STUFF. Assume that my injuries are serious. Assume too that even at a fair level of wanting to be compensated, I seek an attorney who seeks $1 million?
It's an example, and I'm not attending, but you might be asked to, or required to, carry a huge liability policy? My examples and suggestions don't include vehicles, or anyone bringing PETS who might injure someone.
