Yes. She only signed on for the first few episodes (so far the only number I've heard is six, but I could be wrong). The character replacing her is a "contemporary" of Gideon's that was initially offered to Portia deRossi. She turned it down, and it was offered to someone else, who accepted, but I can't remember the actress' name.
