amd, pentium d, pentium 3,4 or celeron d, or the dual cores. Out of all which is the worst and which is the best.

Out of those, the Pentium 3 is worst I guess. Now just for the record, AMD is like Intel, they make a lot of different processors, the Athlon, Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2, Sempron, etc, so it might depend on which AMD you were talking about. Also the Pentium D is a dual core processor. As for best, well an AMD Athlon 64 X2 would be better than any of those listed, while an Intel Core 2 Duo is the best overall out right now.

AMD makes a line of processors that compete with the Pentium processors. the Pentium 4 is usually better than the Pentium 3, There was an odd pin design that was discontinued in 2001 of the Pentium 4 though try to avoid if you can. They seemed to overheat rather easily. The newer processor is usually the better one though. Aren't the Celeron D's a dual core processor.
