Nancy and Ned both say it...so it's a young person slang type thing. It's driving me crazy!

here is another line...from the movie...

"I bet you 2380"
It sounds like it is 23 dollars and 80 cents, but elsewhere in the movie it had nothing to do with money....agh!!

Apparently the amount of the paycheck received by the men who worked for the WPA during the depression was $23.80, and the public began using it as a slang term, so basically it meant "I'll bet you a week's pay that..." (Found this on a great Nancy Drew site).
