The previous quote of $1 per square foot of surface is high for only one coat. At that price you should get a prime coat plus two finish coats - hope this helps.

Depends, paint per gallon, about 20 bucks.
Sheetrock, average 16 dollars
Diffrent paints say they cover diffrent amounts of sq footage, so just go to your local hardware store and look around.
