I Forgot to say that the cd-drive is internal, and it still won't show up on My Computer

Right click on "My Computer", left click on Properties, left click on the "Hardware" tab, Left click on the "Device Manager" tab, Left Click on the + sign next to the "DVD/CD ROM" listing.
Now, right click on the particular drive that is giving you trouble, and choose "Uninstall". Then exit from that. Now reboot the computer, and Windows should find the drive as "new hardware" and reinstall the correct drivers for it. If this doesn't work, the drive is probably inoperative and you may have to replace it. At this point, you might as well get yourself a combination DVD/CD drive, as they are not expensive nowadays. Most good ones can be purchased for around $30 or so. An example can be seen at the below link. Good luck.
