We Christians do deem human life as valuable. We also believe that there are values worth risking that life and sacrificing it, if necessary. The analogy that Hitler's dictatorship in Germany and Hirohito's government in Japan were very unjust and they WERE corrected by the allies. The victors may not be righteous and just but I think the USA government is as righteous and just as any government in the world and more so than most of them

I think a government which respects the basic rights of its citizens, and fulfills the legitimate responsibilities of government, can stand in judgment over those which do not.

If you disagree, do you also disagree that Great Britain in the 1930's could not have stood in judgment over Nazi Germany? That the nations of the European Union can not stand in judgment over Sudan or North Korea?

Judgment, justice, righteousness, they are all perspective and they change with time. The truth of the matter is that the victor of the moment writes history.

governments are forced to judge each other with national security and safety are in play. with nuclear technology and terrorism we are forced to be an interlocked global community whether we like it or not....this isnt about political correctness its about staying alive and too often the tree hugging types dont understand you cant fight a bomb with a leaflet.

...of judging another [government or individual]? I'm unclear which you mean.

Can any of us judge anybody? I say yes, and we must -- we do that daily.

The government doesn't generally judge individuals; the jury ultimately does -- except in war-related matters.
