ill tell you why but you have to read my answer carefully :
the orange color is called orange due to the orange the fruit .. the other colors arent named to any kind of fruit

Cuase there are some other things that are yellow and green like lime it can be a green apple

maybe because the one who discovered it named it that way. anyways, you've got a point there.. but if we called each fruit by its color then how will you call a mango, banana and lemon? because they are all colored yellow. Also, there is a green and yellow mango.

because if you had to order a juice of lime you should say "a greenade please!" which would be a bit strange. isn't it?
