Why do you even feel the need to ask. No matter what she says. She will never be ok with it. Don't even ask her because the idea that your thinking of even doing it will be a stab in her back. There are plenty of men out there you dont need your friends ex. Also think of it this way. Why did they break up. Was it his fault? If you dont care about your friend tell him yes. If you do care about her tell him it was wrong to even ask knowing how close you are. Also seeing as how hes already asked I hope you said no immedietly.

Technically that violates the friendship code. Especially if you're as close as you say. So my answer would be no. Unless it wasn't a serious relationhship and your friend is totally ok about it. But to be safe no.

If I thought of my friend as my sister I wouldn't dare go out with her ex. You have to think of it as what if she did that to you. Even if she says it doesn't bother it's still not a good thing to do trust me.!!!

That same thing happened to me. And now we're engaged and living together. But I would have never done it without my friend's blessings. They are still good friends, and it was fine with her. But if she wasn't, I never would have gone there. Good friends are far far far more difficult to find than men, and therefore should be treated as far far far more important.

that totally depends on my friends attitude towards him. If he was someone she shared a great amount of time with, and loved, then NO, I would not. But if he was one of those "people she just killed some time with"..and really couldn't give a crap less about him---Maybe.

No that would be terribly bad form, and disrespectful to your best friend for him to ask.
