I have a tiger barb and a black skirt tetra that need names. any thoughts?

how about tony for the tiger barb and tootsie or betty for the black skirt tetra

Well, I stopped naming my own fish about 18+ years ago, but when I did name them I looked for distinguishing features or personality.
The Tiger is part of the Yang of Yin and Yang, and also then Chaos of course too. So, Yang or Chaos would be a good way to refer back to concept of Tiger without saying "Tiger", The black skirt is not really that menacing, but you could try "widow" since that refers both to the color black and the concept of "skirt" being associated with clothing worn by women.
However, if you Tiger barb is uncharacteristicly non-combative and refrains from nipping tank mates and plays nice, you might also consider calling it "Tigger" as in the bouncing dude from Winnie the Pooh.
Also for a more pleasant female name for a black skirt, I think of Will Smith's wife Jadda (sp) when I think of positive, beautiful and powerful black women... well her and Condoleeza (sp) Rice and Oprah and Halle Berry :o) Just to name a few... I also had a pure black velvet colored angel fish that I called "Dark Angel" about 20 years before there was a tv show, book, comic, movie, and song by that name (just whining)...

I have a 180 gallon tank ( yes180 gallons). My fish have names like Pumpkin( a bloody parrot) Emmit and Bubba(placos) Alberto, Fanny, Tiny, Tini, Sampson, Ralph( all African cichlids) Kremit the frog (not Kermit) and Liam(this name I think is cursed because every fish I've had named Liam has died). The list goes on and on. I like to give them funny names. Tini and Tiny are the biggest fish I have and pumpkin looks like a pumpkin. I have named them after my boyfriend and famous people as well. I thinks it is the most funny to give them human names like Fred or the like. Just have fun with it. Let me know if you hear any more good ones because i have plenty of fish!! I like Pamela for the Tiger Barb and Dahlia for the Black Skirt Tetra.

I had a fish named one eyed jack because he had a black patch around his nonexistant eye. He was the coolest RIP one eyed jack!!!!

Hon, first of all I'm not a gay man, but I was really moved by your post. I don't care about the points, but I want to give you some input. Think of me as your mom, but without the fear you'd have of talking to her about these things.
The first thing you need to do is stop sending your stuff out over the internet - or by any other method. You're in 8th grade - you could easily be sending your pictures and information to predators who can do more than hurt you. You're seriously risking your life by doing this. Please stop. Please. As a mom, it would break my heart to know my child was behaving in this kind of dangerous behavior. I would accept my children in a milisecond if they told me they were gay, but I would be utterly terrified to know they were sending pictures out online.
I don't know if you're gay or not, but I would guess if you're more attracted to the idea of gay sex than you are to the idea of hetero sex, you might be.
That's something you can live with. There are many many well-adjusted gay men and women out there who live their lives productively and happily.
I think the most important thing for you to do right now is to get some professional help. Talk to one of your counselors at school, or another trusted adult. TRUSTED is the key word. Don't get in a situation where another adult can take advantage of the confusion you have right now.
I wish you the best, and I hope that whatever you "turn out to be" you accept yourself and make the most of who and what you are.
