I don't recall anyone winning a law suit for bad service -- or hurt feelings (both are extremely hard to PROVE in court).
What you could have done was ask to speak to the manager and complained about the service -- or lack of it -- on the spot (you might have even gotten a complimentary meal out of it!).
What you could do now, if you're still feeling angry, is write a letter to McDonald's local, regional or head office, citing the particular "restaurant" (specific location), date and approximate time of the event and then briefly explain exactly what transpired.
McDonald's is a business and customer satisfaction is important to them.

I don't see this as a racial issue but one of poor service. I think you are within you rights to complain to management about the slow service. I think taking them to court is extreme and not really warranted in this situation. If you had gotten sick from eating there then that would be a different story.
I understand you feeling miffed though, they are being paid to serve the public not to chat and fool around.

There is a similar situation with Cracker Barrel. A couple of blacks were sitting at a table, they were waiting to be served for 30 minutes. They have filed a lawsuit against Cracker Barrel.
Final answer: Yes, file a lawsuit.

Same thing happened to me at Burger King, but all the employees were Hispanic, but I got tired of waiting and left. Maybe you're right ... it's time to turn discrimination around !!!
