What should I be looking for as video cards/outputs and TV's/inputs? VGA, DVI, HDMI, S-Video?

my current computer has a nVidia Geforce MX 420 with VGA out(to my monitor) and RCA and S-Video out that I currently use to hook up to my 'boob tube' TV. But I'm looking to get a high end comp and vid card and also a decent sized (27-32) LCD HDTV

DVI and HDMI provide the same quality, but video cards use DVI so run the video through DVI and run the audio by itself, preferably via TOSLINK(Toshiba link)(optical) or SPIDF(Sony/Philips Digital interface) A regular RCA cable can be used for SPIDF. They are both digital audio if you want to output very high-quaility Dolby or DTS to a multi-channel amplifier.

I believe the best connection on video cards for HDTV right now is something called Dual Link DVI. Anyway just make sure that whatever video card you get says it supports HDTV out.
