Yes you certainly can. You can go about it a few ways as well.

1) You can purchase a standard router. What this will do is allow you to connect the DSL to the router (If your DSL modem isnt already a router that is which is the case alot these days). Then, you connect each PC to the router via standard Cat 5 cable (Ethernet Cable).

2) You can purchase a wireless router. This would also require the purchase and installation of Wireless adapters in your PC's. This would allow you to connect your PC's without the need for Ethernet Cables running around the room.

3) You can connect the DSL to PC 1 via USB, or get a second ethernet adapter for PC 1. Then use the built in Windows routing software to connect PC 2 to PC 1. This would be the cheapest way of doing it if your DSL modem isnt already a router.

If you have any questions, you can contact me via IM, its always on.

You need a router to connect the two computers to your modem. Both computers would connect to a router, and your router will connect to the DSL modem.
Since the computers and modem are in the same room, you can avoid the additional cost of a wireless setup. That is, if you can place the wires in an out-of-the-way place.

I'll assume that both computers are desktops (laptops usually have built-in Ethernet network cards). Buy 2 Ethernet network cards and 1 router (or 2 wireless network PCI cards and 1 wireless router). Then follow the destructions and that's it. If you get a wireless system, buy 108 megabits per second network cards and router.
If you're still not sure about what to get, go to a store and explain what you want to do and the salesperson there will help you out.

Yes you can!

You will need to get a Network Router that supports connection to your DSL line.

Then you will need to make sure each computer has an Ethernet Adapter card installed on it (if not you will need to buy them).

Next, you will need to attach each computer to the Router via CAT5 cables.

The Router will come with a setup disk for helping you create your home network and then you will be good to go.

P.S. If you want the network to be wireless, get a wireless router and wireless adapter cards for your PC's.

Good Luck :)

Yes, the best option is to get a router with a built-in NAT firewall that allows you to plug the DSL/Cable connection into it rather than into the computer and the computers can be plugged into that box.
An added advantage is that you have a dedicated firewall to protect your computers from outside attacks. Belkin or Linksys produce rather good products for this purpose.
Here's one such product from Belkin: http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=136521
and one from Linksys:http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1115416832017&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper

Yes but you need a router.
Wireless ones do also have wires if you want to use wires. You can connect both computers to the router and the router connects to the phone line.

Yes. And you shouldn't even need a wireless router. We don't use one.
