Bekah is right. Depending on how much air you are sucking up, you could actually cause physical damage at some point. Beyond that, if you are sucking up air, you are not sucking up as much water which means your filter performance is not 100%. You should move your air producer away from your filter intake ASAP. I have had this happen before too, but I moved mine instantly because of the annoying noise as much as the filter issues...

You could also replace whatever air stone or?? you are using with a sponge filter. There are models with exit tubes that are curved and tall so that they could likely avoid your intake tube if you have space constraints. A lot of suckers enjoy cleaning off sponge filters and it would add one more level of biological/physical filtration to your tank.

If your air bubbles are coming from a fixed location like an undergravle filter then you should move your other filter if at all possible. Other than that you may have to adjust the air flow to a point that it does not impact your other filter... Good luck!

yes aquarium filters run wet and when an air bubble gets into it it runs dry for that moment and that is why it sound different if you have ever tried to start the filter and forgot or added too little water it will run loud untill you add water...move the wand so it is not under the intake tube

hi! sure you optimistic ought to. in simple terms be careful. reason why your piping routes from the exterior decrease ingredient of your air field is by using the fact the manufacturing unit set it as much as try to attain the coolest air a threat from outdoors the engine compartment. once you're making the different openings you're able to nicely be waiting to enable it breathe much less complicated, even though it ought to draw interior the hotter air from the engine compartment besides. So, sure, it will improve air flow. It in simple terms runs the possibility of having warmer air than meant being sucked into the clear out housing. no count if that's a physically powerful or undesirable ingredient is as much as you. thank you!

Mine does too but i haven'y noticed any adverse affects. as long as the water keeps flowing out where it's supposed to no problem. its possible the pump could be sucking air tho. can't you move the air pump? or turn down the air flow. mine is ajustable and i keep it pretty low. it doesn't have to blow all that hard.
