The only information I have is the height at which the ball left the ramp, and the length from when the ball left the ramp to the location at which it landed.

you know:
height
distance = length

remember, everything falls at the same rate:g = 9.8 m/s^2

first, figure out how much time it took for it to fall to the ground by using the vertical relationship: height = 0.5* g* t^2. (remember, t^2 = t*t). solve for time (t).

now you know how much time it took to travel. now solve for horizontal velocity. distance = velocity* time.

you know distance and time, so velocity = distance/time.
