WELL THIS MAY SOUND HARSH BUT IT WORKS, HOLD THERE JAWS OPEN AND SQUIRT IT DOWN THE BACK OF THERE THROAT, AS SOON AS YOU SQUIRT IT BLOW IN THERE FACE. THEY HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO SWALLOW CAUSE BLOWING IN THERE FACE MAKES THEM DO SO. IT MAY SOUND MEAN BUT AS I SAID IT WORKS AND SINCE THEY SWALLOW IT THEY DONT SPIT IT OR GAG IT BACK UP

Okay, my first son was like this for years. (Hopefully she will get over it sooner!) Here's what you do...
Lay her on her back, you get the dropper ready over her, lay your chest on her lower half, lay your forearms over hers so she can't grap or escape. With one hand, hold the dropper, with the other, gently squeeze her cheeks. Slide the dropper between her cheek & teeth, on the side of her mouth at least, and squeeze a very little bit in at a time. Keep her mouth squeezed with the other hand this whole time so she can't use her tounge to spit it out. Keep doing a few drops at a time until it's gone.
It takes forever, but she wont gag on it (that's what happened when you shot it in the back of her mouth fast) and she wont be scared at fast and furious motions. Try to act casual about it. If she sees it upsets you, she will get upset too, or learn it's a fun power struggle.
Be gentle, talk encouragingly to her (good girl, mommy's so proud, almost done!) And smile even if you want to cry!
Does she use a pacifier? I've seen a paci that meds can be put in, though I've never used it!
Good luck.

Because my wife also breastfed, what she did was:
She had a filled syringe with a VERY thin, long, plastic tube connected to it. (She got it from the doctor.)
The tube was slipped into baby's mouth after she latched on.
As baby drank, my wife had control of the syringe. She would push a little at a time until the syringe was empty.
Baby could continue nursing without interruption.
It worked excellent!

I am going through the same. My son is not wanting to take his medicine either. What I have tried was a pacifier that had a medicine cup attached to it for him to suck on. I put a couple spoons of juice with the medicine.
I have also tried on of those medicine spoons.... this has been what helps me the most!!!
I have also tried the medicine syringe.... not too bad

Some of these answers are pretty cruel. I have had the same problem with my son! As per my pediatrician's advice, put her dosage (using the enclosed dropper) in applesauce (my son's favorite), or vanilla ice cream. Break up the dosage so she doesn't get it all on one big spooonful--but in several ones! Let me know if this works. (p.s. it did great with my son ;-)!

I had a similar problem with my son. Since he liked to eat ice chips, I'd give him ice chips or a popsicle before giving him his medicine. His doctor said that the cold numbs the taste buds. It worked for him. Good luck.

At the nursing home I used to work at they used to mix the medications in applesauce. If you decide to try this talk to your doctor, because some medications don't mix well with applesauce.

Have you tried putting it in her mouth and then quickly blowing in her face? This is one of my mother's old tricks. I have used it a time or two with success. It startles baby just enough to get them to swallow.
Otherwise, you have done everything I would do.

With my 10 month old daughter I hold her mouth open and then I either have her dad or brother hold her arms down.

I know my mom used to squeez my cheeks so my mouth was open and put it on in. maybe showing her that you will take it see mommy do it. Cuz it does seem like you have tried everything. I'm not sure what else to do, other than that.

I have to do this with my son, try squirting it in her mouth then hurry up and blow in their face, then she swallows and not spits cuz when you blow in their face it takes their breath away for a few seconds. I know it sounds mean, but it works and it really don't hurt them.
