Your love handles are fat desposits, not flabby muscles. And, you don't tone up fat.

The answer is to lose the weight until your body fat percentages are lower. Of course, this is always done from a combo of exercise and diet. To lose 1 pound per week, you need to change the food / exercise balance by 500 calories per day. Either burn 500 more (killer hour on a tread mill, etc), or eat 500 less (substitute those fries with fruit or salad or something), or some combination of both.

You skin tone might be gone on the sides too. At that point, you'll need to have a tummy-tuck by your local plastic surgeon.

The best thing to do is mix cardio with weight training. Cosmo always has great exercises, but in order to reduce love handles you need to strenghten your "core". Which is your stomach muscles. I do pilates, and it really helped shed pounds and reduce the appearence of love handles. Pretty much if your do pilates, and go for a 30 minute run 3-4 days a week, you'll be seeing results within 3-4 weeks. Good luck

Hold a dumbbell in your right hand and place your left hand on your hip. Slowly dip your right side and then pull your right side. Perform 10-12 reps and then switch hands and repeat. This exercise works the obliques.

Perform cardio and eat a healthy diet and you will see firm muscle instead of saggy love handles. On the above exercise, I was doing 30-40 lbs with regular frequency without injury or anything like that.

while standing still, take your left hand and while bending to the left, let your left hand slide down to try and tough your foot, bending as far as you can...............Do the same on the right...If you can do this (if you are young) try and do for 30-50 times on each side......Don't over do....Do more each day.........You will get rid of lovehandles.... ... proven technique.......AND do not eat after 8 pm at night.............

There are many exercise for this problem but these help me
Any exercise where you are stretching and turning your torso is excellent.
Golf is good for that!
Remember to walk not ride and carry or push your clubs.
The walking helps burn the fat.
Scrubbing the bathtub is a good exercise for this problem!
Think slim be slim!

This thing on TV called the RED ab machine or something looks very promising... I'm thinkin about gettin one. of leg lifts to the sides. most basic is sit ups, make sure you do then correctly. exhale when you go up and inhale when you go down.

like someone else said, you can't burn fat in specific areas, it just doesnt work that way. The only way to burn fat in any area is to burn calories, so the best for this is cardio, not any of these exercises listed. I think someone said jumping jacks, that will work becuase you will end up burning calories

I do this weird exercise. You lay on your side, then prop yourself up on one elbow, feet stacked on top of each other and then lift you butt towards the air, and lower. Then switch sides.
