Of course I'm going to get thumbs down for this but who cares...

How would you feel if you lived in a society that if you spoke out against the government, like you just did, you would be killed no questions asked? We have given the Iraqis freedom. They can vote now without being told who to vote for. I'm sorry but Americans who signed up in the army fully understand that they may be used in times of war. That's why I have not joined but I support those who fight for us.

WMDs were never found which it was obviously based off false intelligence. Many people supported it and they were wrong. Iraq could have been a safe haven for terrorist because after all, Saddam has hated us sine after the Gulf War.

Who cares where the hijackers came from? Regardless they were terrorists and like I said Iraq could have become/been a safe haven for these terrorists.

3,000 Americans have died in the war in Iraq while a little less than that died in the 9/11 attacks.

A bunch of useless complaining if you ask me.

My god this liberal psychology is like trying to stop roaches...it never leaves. Listen im NOT PRO war...im anti dying. lets look at some facts ok.

Fact....NO known terrorist attack unavenged on american soil after nine eleven.

Fact....Most known major operatives from al qaeda senior command...yes with the exception of bin Laden...captured or killed.

Fact...prior to iraq, israel is the only democratically elected government in the middle east.

Were we right...hindsight is a wonderful thing in its unflinching perfection. As a nine eleven survivor from manhattan watching the buldings my opinion is thank god we had an american president with strength of conviction to respond in some way.

Wouldnt we all want the polling maturity...lol...of Bill Clinton...or the lunacy of putting a draft dodging wimp in charge with no a stated timetable regardless of outcome in iraq like Kerry when the time came....my point is here whether your a "bush" supporter or not is academic. Im totally convinced freedom is a cause worth fighting for and to stand idly by while a madman gasses his own people in Iraq makes us no better than the French watching the nazis topple europe until it was too late too do anything about it.

What kind of a moron are you? I bet if you rounded up all of the "pro war" people in the United States, you couldn't fill up a bathroom.

I know it's difficult for an ignoramus of your high caliber to understand, but there is a huge difference between being "pro war" (your words, not mine) and understanding and supporting the reasons for going to war.

Now I'm quite sure you're from your rant that you're an America hating, liberal who has no sense of civic pride or duty, but that doesn't mean that good Americans have to listen to your BS and certainly don't have to take you seriously.

If you honestly think that this country and this administration is so bad, why don't you move to North Korea? I'll even pay for your plane ticket.

Ask the people of Iraq, Jack. Is thier electricity better now? The phone service? The sewer service? Do they live under fear of a maniacal jackass anymore? Is someone comin' to your house tonite to kill ya' for no reason??? For what cause did "many, many Americans" die at Normandy??? Perhaps that we don't speak German in these United States of America as the common language? Don't be so short-sighted and stupid. You think "they" ain't comin' to get us??? Wake up, dummy. Back out now, America's dead. Oh, and you got enough guns and ammo to protect your wife and kids when they DO get here??? Do you really think these fanatic idiots will stop? And if so, at WHAT???

Very few people are "pro war", but many will stand against a man like Saddam, who tried to have the 41st President of the U.S. assassinated, tried to take control of the main shipping port for oil in the middle east, thumbed his nose at U.N. demands for inspections for W.M.D.s,and by defying the western powers was becoming the hero to Islam that might be able to unite the Jihadists.

You make a good point. I don't know if any war has ever been justified, but history is woven with it. If it wasn't war in Iraq it would be somewhere else. Since Cain killed Abel in the garden of Eden, we've had man against man. There's no telling where we'll fight next! But some things ARE worth fighting for and I know some wars have won freedom. If this one does, I guess it's worth it, but we won't know till we see the outcome of it.

I see this out pour of sympathy for the American Soldiers. I see all these fadded yellow ribbons, and "Support or Troops" stickers. I hear people whining and moaning about how our president is a shmuck and we should pull out of Iraq. How one American Life is too many.
Guess what; we signed the dotted line folks! We have a wonderful thing in this country; it's called a Volunteer Army. No body twisted our arms, or held guns to our mothers heads. I signed that line. I signed it right after 9/11, because I think that if you are going to live in a country with freedoms like ours, you should get off the couch and do something to protect it.
The reasons for the invation may not be clear. The outcome might not be clear. But I don't care. I did my job over there. I did what I signed up to do, and I'm damn proud of it. So don't you dare cry for me. You want to shed some alligator tears; you do it for the people who are too weak to protect themselves. You do it for the ones that rise and sleep under the blanket of protection that our US services provide, but don't think twice about lending a hand. Cry for them. Not for me. And not for anyone else that lives and dies to protect a way of life that you people obviously take for granted. We don't want your sympathy. We want your silent thanks. End of story.

Americans soldiers have to die in Iraq because Bill Clinton let terrorism escalate out of control until 911 happened. Terrorists come in any nationality even liberal. Should we just appease Saddam until he gets a nuke like N.Korea? Do you think Osama will never attack us again because we kicked *** in Afghanistan? The bottom line is no country with a Walmart has ever attacked another country with a Walmart.

WOW are you clueless. Americans are not pro-war they are anti-dying. It's not because Iraq needs a better government. It's because Americans do not like being killed by terrorist. Until you grasp the concept that there are people out there that want to kill you and as many Americans as possible you will not understand it. Saddam Hussein had over 100,000 people killed. Do you really think that he would think twice about killing you?

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. They decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is worse. The person who has nothing for which he willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made so and kept so by better men then himself.
