I'm not pregnant and I'm about to be over 21 so can't get medicaid but need some type of insurance but have no kind of money. My son is on medicaid so I just need it for me and my husband

I need insurance to go to the doctor. Not for any other reason. I live in Louisianna

I know Oregon has the Oregon Health Plan for people who don't have enough money for insurance, I think other states have the same type of insurance.
WIC is another option, they give you money for food through your pregnancy and then for your child after he/she is born; and if you breast feed they give you food money.

check into FAMIS but you can also get medicad for you and your husband it to is based on your income. ask your case worker about it.

I have medicad for my kids, but couldn't get it for my husband and myself cuz we make to much for that but not enough for the kids.

and you don't HAVE to be pregnant to get it.

If you are old enough you can get on medicare.
