Just one. Its an old army technique.
Wipe your butt with your hand, and use the one square to wipe your hand.
Its not like your not going to wash your hands afterwards anyways. Right?

I make gloves !!! no squares for me . I buy in bulk so yeah I got square to spare

I don't count, it's kind of an automatic supply and demand thing (if ya know what I mean). I know this isn't a Charmin answer, but IT happens.

I use just enough squares to get the job done right the first time. And you may use as many as you need...just don't squeeze em...Mr. Whipple has been known to make an appearance from time to time.
