Yes, you must know yourself if you are going to even have a chance at fairly judging someone else. Even then you may not be ready to judge anyone.

By trying to know others you , actually, making an attempt to know thyself...but if focuses on others then attempt is not valid, you still think of others...Knowing thyself first you will automatically know others but it won't be a matter any more....

Well to an extent you should... but knowing others can help you gain insight into yourself (like a mirror.... we tend to prefer people who are similar to ourselves anyway).... And someone close to you can actively point out or help you discover things about yourself that you might not have otherwise noticed.

definitely!!! If u don't know how u act, u might be acting annoying. So, if you know yourself, and you are annoying or something, you can change that, and THEN get to know others so they'll like you.

I think it is a dialectical process....back and forth...like a cycle..as you learn more about others, you learn more about yourself--and vice versa.
