my brother is unlicensed in the state of California, he’s tried to pass the test three times already but can't pass it, so today he got pulled over for making an unsafe left turn and speeding at 55 mph in a 25 zone. So his ticket charges unsafe left turn, unlicensed driving, violating his permit, and driving with two minors..(my sister and me) I know it’s bad… so what are the consequences?? he's never got a ticket before or gotten in any big trouble..

I'd recommend that if possible, both parents show up to show that they have disciplined him and understand the severity of the charges. Everyone should be dressed in suits and dresses if possible

The parents should assure the judge that they were angry, they didn't permit the driving, and that they have disciplined him.

Believe me, this will go a long way to getting this eventually erased.

Hard to say what the consequences will be, but most judges will believe that your brother has done stupid stuff before and simply not been in court. Speeding 55? That's quite serious. I'd be prepared for a blasting from the judge. Probably the parents will take a tongue lashing as well.

If you can sit demurely in court and drop a tear or two, it will help.

Let him go to court first then you'll know what kind of trouble he's in and how big of a fine he'll pay.

The law should throw the book at him. He could've killed all three of you!
