the only reason it wouldn't work would be dumb politicians, the house was never meant to be the party in the majority total domination monster it is today, the intent was for a person to represent their district not their party, this thing is broken, when the Dems take control they will be about payback & the peoples business gets neglected again.

Yes it could. It has before and could again, but to many politicians with big big money would lose a whole lot of it. Because of this, they will not let the Government of the People, for the People and by the People have control.

Actually the Government or the workings of the government would go along quite nicely without either party. It's designed to do just that.

Are you suggesting we dump political parties and vote for individuals based on the issues?
I mean, vote based on the ISSUES???
You must be some kind of radical revolutionary.
I'll go for it, though. Refreshing idea. Keep up the good work and run for office. I'll vote for you on the Non-Party Party ticket.

No. Why? well, if we didnt have in party of n e kind in Washington, there would be fights, nothing would get passed *talking about bills* nothing would get done and to top it off, when September 11, 2001 happend, how would we have handled it? people have different ideas about how we should've handled it, and if we didnt have someone in charge then what wouldve happend?

no, what we really need is an honest, hardworking public servants. our politicians are fond of power, money & interns !!!! that's a shame. we have to go for the lesser evil from both the parties. let us have a new party of only honest, hard working, simple living & high thinking type pure public servants. !!!!

The founding fathers envisioned the two-party system as the best way of arriving at beneficial decisions. They could not have foreseen the system that has evolved.
