up and tune up...only just realised they are seperate scans and you do each one seperately....Has anyone made same mistake.....very unclear ! major **** up by m/sft or what?

These are separate processes since they perform separate tasks. The best strategy is to run the basic utilities for disk management from MS or download some shareware utilities, even go as far as purchasing a 3rd party vendor's software to handle all of your system scans.

The thing is, Microsoft is a corporation, they are innit the $$, they're not gonna do anything simple. Nothing is free.
