There will be a Keep Tag in Attleboro rally this Saturday (10/19/06) from 10AM-noon at the Willet School in Attleboro. Local newspapers, radio stations, and television stations have been notified. The next PTO meeting isn't until 11/18, and we want our voices to be heard sooner.
The purpose of the rally is to attract the attention of the Willet Elementary School officials, voice our concerns, and work with the school to find a compromise (ie, tag free zones on the playground).
For more information contact keeptaginattleboro@yahoo.com.

OK 2 yrs old tantrums are one thing but this is WAY overboard. How IS she being treated really in daycare? How much love, hugs, reading to, do you give her at home ( "quality time")? These are the MOST important things of all. THEN, the fits of rage, if they continue you must hold her for comfort and not let her go till she calms or leave her to cry on the floor if she needs space or as a pediatrician told me, try a little cup of cold water splashed in her face. That one didn't work for me though it was a mild one compared to yours. Restaurants, stores, etc. LEAVE AS SOON AS IT STARTS, no matter how inconvenient. If you stay you are allowing her to act that way in public. Go to the car and explain to her she will go NOWHERE with you unless she can act right. SAY IT AND MEAN IT. DO NOT GIVE IN, BE CONSISTENT. or you will never get her under control, it will only get worse as she gets older. AND DO YOU WANT HER DOING THAT WHEN SHE IS BIG ENOUGH TO CAUSE YOU OR ANYONE ELSE SEVERE HARM?

man, times have changed.. i do think this is going too far, if anything, kids are not active enough nowdays. i understand the lawsuit aspect of it, which is a whole other bag of worms to open. there is risk with any physical activity, but do we really want to raise a generation of fat, underactive wussies?

no, but people sue people for just about anything. it's sickening. remember that old lady who sued mcdonalds after spilling coffee on herself, because apparently coffee isn't normally HOT. also a lot of places don't want to be held accountable for something because it could lose them a lot of money.
