Never. I learned to read at a very young age and have been constantly been reading since then. I am now 29 and when I don't have a new book to read, I will read one of my favourites.
If you teach a child to read at a young age, you are giving them a gift for life. It costs nothing as you can always go to your local library. You never have to upgrade like you do with a computer game, or the like. Instill a love of books in a child at a young age and they will never be lonely.

I have bad migraines, and sometimes I cannot read for several days when I have them because my eyes won't focus and I am too sensitive to light to have any lights on. Even in those times, however, I am in the middle of a book, and just unable to read for a little while.
I have always been a great reader, and I cannot tell you how often I have met people who are quite honest when they tell me they have not read a book since high school or college. I worked in a library for a very long time, and I met people there who said that all the time. The most puzzling thing about it is they would get a book for their child or spouse, and not get one for themselves. I am honestly puzzled when I meet someone who does not read, as it is a way of life for me.

I've never been without a book (or three or four) that I'm in various stages of reading. With short fiction, most YA novels for example, I can read in one or two days. So I always have a pile of my current book and one or two that are in my to-read-next pile. And I almost always have a few Christian nonfiction (beit biography or theology) that I am in the process of reading. Since they're not quick reads, I might only read a chapter a day and take a week or two or three depending on the length. But I'm always reading something.

Yes, now, I pick up the books but realize without some one to share them with they are as good as useless. I also had a breakdown when reading too much and trying to figure out trying to help with the books. I once joked about being the perpetual student and at 31 have been. Tired. Don't get me wrong have not given up. I start school for a trade soon.

Not really. If I am not reading a new book, then I am rereading and rerereading and even rererereading a book. My friends worry if they do not see me with a book in hand. It usually only takes me to finish a new book every day and a half, so I go through about 5 books a week.

Yes....though it was unexpected break, but I must admit there was a certain period when I found myself not reading a book. It happened a couple of years ago when we returned from a three week-trekking expedition and I got high temperature. Though it was just viral kind, but medic man made it compulsory for me to have bed rest for entire month.....and that too without books... that was a kind of punishment for me really.

OMG, are you KIDDING? If I can't get @ a Barnes & Noble fast enough, I'll just reread the ones I already have. And the only reason the gas prices are going up is because I keep getting my dad to drive me to the library!
