I would like to be a lot more friendly. I would like to make people comfortable in my home. Once I get rolling i'm pretty friendly. It's the askward newness, I usually have to be approached first. I think its a gift, to make people feel that way. The thing is i'm not shy or a push over, I don't know what it is, I can come off icy. I don't like that about myself, and I don't mean too, and i'm aware of it while i'm doing it.

No, but I married a friendly woman to make up for it.

I am considered a friendly person. I just usually say hello and have a genuine smile for people. I find something nice to say about them. That is always a nice start for you. Look them in the eye so they will know you mean it when you are smiling at them. You can tell a lot by looking at someones eyes. You can also tell by someones body language. If someone looks like they feel uncomfortable, talk to them, tell them something nice about them, or offer to get them something like a drink of water, if they are in your home. Have some snacks sitting out. Have a movie playing. Good luck.

Yes, I consider myself to be friendly and a very nice down-to-earth person. Problem with me is I'm a shy person who can be very quiet at first but when I get to know the person and I feel comfortable around them then I will start to open up more and talk more. Sometimes because of my shyness I have to be approched first too before I will talk so in some ways I can understand you.

I can honestly say that being truly friendly has to come from your heart, it's pretty easy to fake it but then you feel awful afterwards.
Don't just try to be super friendly to everyone all at once, maybe focus on one or two people at a time. Don't ever give up, you might have the opportunity to make someone's day brighter!!!

im pretty friendly, i just think before i do something. dont be afraid to just wild'n'out sometimes.note the sometimes. make conversation subjects before you start talking to some1 and when times get dull, bring up a topic. political and sports stuff seems to be real good debating topics.

Just smile and make some jokes. Touch them when appropriate such as on the arm and ask open ended questions.

Auto self protection would be the most likely cause. biased on what you have said. just takes you longer to trust people enough to let them inside your comfort range.

some people have that "negative aura" around them and it is instant "I don't like that person". Try to be more positive! Positive people tend to be much more friendly, happier, fun to be around.

smile a lot. and pay attention to facial expressions that you make...... sometimes i give people dirty looks and i dont even realize it.....because my facial expression matches what i am thinking about them in my head. But you can learn to control that.
