my car chokeing after leaveing it to stand 5 to 30mins longer its ok?

but if not left it long it goes funnny i try to trun it on but it just makes a coughing sound

Well I wouldnt listen to old dad. my car is fuel injected and in the manuel it says never press the pedal when its cold. press slightly when warm then relese when the revs are normal

if the car is fuel injected, you should never touch the pedal. if you do(cold days only) hold throttle down and do not release while spinning engine... hopefully it will clear up after it starts.
