i was looking around and couldn't find any. there had to be some, who would vote for man who has never held a office for governor.

Nope. Although he did work on his dad's campaign. He owned an oil company and owned part of the Texas Rangers. Guess that qualifies you for Governor in Texas.

None. Karl Rove groomed him and family money financed him.

Now I normally do not spread hearsay, but I heard this from a reliable source and it made sense: Jeb was supposed to have been the one aimed at the White House, but Mom and Pop made a deal with Dubya that if he laid off the juice and embraced religion, they would back him all the way. And you know the rest of the story....

He ran for Congress in the 70's and lost.

He helped with several of his Dad's campaigns.

He ran two oil companies that went bankrupt. He also was part owner of the Rangers, which after he sold it gave him a fortune.

Lincoln had almost no political career before he was elected President. Couple House terms, but that's it.
