Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?
By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.
I found some book titles that are relevant to your specific question:
* 101 Internet Businesses You Can Start from Home by Susan Sweeney
* The Best Home Businesses for the 21st Century by Paul Edwards
* Selling Online: How to Become a Successful E-Commerce Merchant by Jim Carroll

If you have a decent amount of experience using the computer and Internet, starting an online business should be a good choice. And it can involve minimum risk - you could start selling things on eBay, for example, and the listing fees are pretty low, as little as $0.35 per 7-day listing. If you are willing to risk a few hundred dollars, then you can also have a regular Internet Store. For example, Yahoo allows people to build stores for what I think is as little as $50/month. Regards.

Roadside beggar. It meets all of your requirements. Needed to start:
- a raggy look (like long hair)
- don't shave for a few days,
- wear the unused shoes you have in the back your closet "just in case"
- smear licorice, old bread and the wet towel you dried your dog with over your body for an accurate body odor
- 2' x 2' cardboard
- good penmanship, and
- a slogan (e.g. need 49 cents, God Bless)
