don't take anything with psuedoephedrine in it!
they now make nasal decongestant with the PE(phenylephrine) or something like that, but the PE ingredient is supposed to be alot safer.

I really feel for you. It's terrible when you are unwell and you're not allowed to take anything cause you're pregnant. If you're OB has said it's ok trust them. If you have an oil burner at home put a few drops of eucalyptus oil in and that should help to make breathing easier. A eucalyptus rub( in Australia we use Vicks but you could mix some of the eucalyptus oil with some Vaseline and that should work too) on the chest, neck and back also help with congestion relief. And a few drops of oil on a hankie that you can sniff will also help. I hope you are feeling much better soon. It's hard to enjoy your pregnancy when you are ill. Best of luck.

Take Sudafed. I had 2 colds during my last pregnancy, and it was recommended by my doctor. You could also take Allegra if you have a Rx already, but ask your Dr. first cause some Dr. are weird about it. The only problem I found with Sudafed is that it is non-drowsy, and difficult to sleep while taking it. If it gives you the gitters, then I recommend Tylenol instead.

if you are in the second trimester it is fine for you to take a sudephedrine product. But you should not take anything that is like Motrin or aspirin that acts like a blood thinner. Tylenol cold or allergy is fine. or some threaflu hot drink mix. they have Tylenol in them, not Motrin or aspirin. good luck.
mother of 2 with one on the way.

I would recommend that you take just plain tylenol. I had a horrible cold when I was pregnant and my husband ran out and got me the multi symptom. I took it and was up all night.
Good Luck, Hope you feel better soon

Tylenol is ok for pregnant women to take. I'm not familiar with PE. I would never recommend PE, in the first place, because it does not work.

I would simply take the regular strength Tylenol . . I think that's really the only thing that's completely safe to take . . .

NO!! There are ingredients in the "cold" portion of the Tylenol and other cold medicines that are not safe for the fetus.
